The central empire controlling the whole of the continent of Shisui. The various clans of Shisui are all considered subordinate members of the empire as a whole.

History
In 23 ARL, Ehel arrived in Shisui and brought word of Corruption with him. He was able to spread use of Corruption to the emperor's eunuch advisors, who began to consolidate power for themselves. Under their increasingly solid control, the directives from the capital became increasingly erratic, with enhanced racial tensions driving the typically well-regarded and culturally important spiritfolk to the fringes or into hiding. At the same time, the barrier between the material plane and the realms of the dead and demons became increasingly thin, allowing mass incursions of undead and demons onto the continent. The crises were ended at significant cost by the joint efforts of the Black Samurai and the Shadows of Existence in September of that year.
