Exethanter's story only truly begins on the day he died. One day, at something of a loose end, he wanders into the lower part of the temple and is quickly overcome by one of the beings sealed inside. Trapped inside his own head, the Powers guided his hands into spells aimed at those he called friends until none were left.
Now he can only recall the last few years in any detail and really only keeps a sense that he must guard the area from his time among the living. The Dark Powers largely keep him as the one remnant of their time before Madame Eva, their one puppet she cannot control.
