Book of Names

A heavy tome sits pride of place in Castle Avernus' library, each page filled with names in different handwriting and inks. A glance through and anyone can easily find a book for each name, filled with a life away from the land of Darkon. The Book was enchanted long ago to steal the memories of those that linger too long inside it's borders, placing the old in these tomes and replacing them with memories of a life inside Darkon.

History

The first place this tome appeared was at the last true battle of the Terg Invasion of Barovia  when Inajira involved it, currently a Book of Keeping in his care, in the deal he made with Strahd von Zarovich, losing it as a result. Kept safe in the walls of Castle Ravenloft, the tome rested hidden among other books until discovered and stolen by Azalin Rex. When Azalin ended up in the newly formed domain of Darkon, the Book went with him him. At some point the Book was changed to it's current state, by Azalin or the Mists.

Significance

The Book is responsible for Darkon's current population size and make-up. As a Book of Keeping, it also holds names of arcanaloths and a few of their secrets.
