Delilah Glass
First Haunt - Vagabond's Chosen - Martyr of Confliction
Introduction
History
Like the Haunts that would come after her, Delilah has little recollection of her past life. She had likely been Spirian who was devoted to the furthering of the First Engineers conquests. From the few records that were salvaged from the past It is known that she, and thousands of others, had willingly entered the hungering maw of Purgatory. Those that were consumed by the structure afterwards, however, were anything but voluntary.
Purgatory
The towering Reliquarium known simply as Purgatory dominates the landscape around it. Thousands of lives, all promised martyrs, had been fed to the ominous, sky-piercing creation that intended to defy laws written before even the Cosmos had formed. Its architects saw themselves as Godmakers who would hurtle their people into an age beyond morality.
When the dust of Hallus' many disasters had settled and most of the Reliquariums had drawn their last breath, Purgatory stood strong. With its architects forgotten and caretakers burrowed deep below the earth, the tower continued with its enigmatic purpose.
When Delilah Glass walked out of Purgatory there was no one to bear witness to the event. Her body was caught between what she had been before and the corpse that she was now. Bound by no memories and driven to find her purpose, the First Haunt began to wander - never to return to her birthplace.
First Haunt
As the first of her kind, Delilah has been the subject of many myths and legends. The reality is that she cares little for the purpose of Haunts or their treatment. She only wishes to wander.
Vagabond's Chosen
Thrice has Delilah been inhabited by the Vagrant. Each time, both grew closer in understanding of their purpose.
Martyr of Confliction
Delilah is well-known for her abiity to withstand the effects of long-term Confliction exposure. This has made her very successful at scavenging through structures of the Old Ways.
Aw, poor Delilah. I can see why she just wishes to wander now. Must be hard to have no sense of purpose at all.
