Riders of Rasengard

Faction Description   The dragonborn Riders are a mysterious race of people living high up on the eastern steppes. They are a nomadic people without permanent cities, instead roaming the continental interior. Not much is known about them, not even an estimation for how many there are. What is known is their fearsome appearance, their strong personal strength, whispers of magic users the likes of which have never been seen before and of course, their famous dragon mounts.   Important NPC’s   Over all Leader   Lieutenant   Local leaders   Main Party Contact   Faction belief/dogma   The dragonborn believe in freedom and detachment. They desire to be free and come and go as they please, refusing to build or have anything permanent to tie them down. They also form lifelong bonds to their mounts, with a mount often serving multiple generations in a family.   Follow the teachings of Habbaku, Kiri- Jolith, Chislev, Lunitari, and Zivilyn.    Faction strength and influence   The dragonborn do not have a formalized military, or even a uniting government. Each tribe however does have a core group of warriors, and Rasengard has a protection force to defend against invaders. And of course they have dragon mounts, which is a power no other standing army can hope to match.   Other NPC’s in faction   Other Notes

Friendly

The dragonborn have found a sympathetic friend in the Talons, who have had more experience and welcome inside their territory than any other factions. The dragonborn appreciate the simplicity and dedication of the Talon lifestyle, and the Talons appreciate in turn the dragonborn hospitality and respect untarnished by the mages. The two factions also find common ground on that account, again drawing them closer together indirectly. Even so there is a limit, and despite the friendliness, no outsiders are easily welcomed past the gates of Rasengard.

Wary

Neither side have had much interaction with the other, but what has happened has not exactly been positive. The mages sent an ambassador to Rasengard, but they were rejected and sent back. There have been several attempts since to learn more about them, all of which have been rejected.  The dragonborn mistrust the mage intentions, and do not wish to have them meddling in their own affairs. The Mages believe that the dargonborn may be the next big threat to the continent and are desperate to learn more, especially about their supposed magic users and the potency of dragonborn blood. However they also wish to not create an enemy where is not yet one, and so move cautiously against them.

No Diplomatic relations

Ormur side with the Mages, and have sent several excursions into the interior to learn more, all of which were eventually confronted by Dragonborn. So far no blood has been shed, but it is felt this will not last.
