Tegan River

River that runs from Lake Orsik to the Needle Sea, joining with the Falck River in Errolton. It is a major artery for world trade and goods moving to and from Lyesa.
In more recent times, trade and travel has become stressed, as the newer kingdom of The Vale exerts greater control and restriction over the river. This has meant increased tariffs and complication for merchants in Lyesa, which has strained their economic progress. This has led the kingdom of Chernin to seek an alternate trade route by constructing a sophisticated lock canal near New Yazar.

Geography

The river cuts through a dense forest, which comes right up to the riverbanks in some areas. The river itself is wide enough for two-way boat traffic, though it can get choked during the summer if rains have been scarce.
