The Protectors Guild

 INTRODUCTION 

 The Protectors Guild is a highly specialized group of intelligence gatherers, especially concerning the realm of magic and sorcery. Although the group only survived for around 200 years, some of the greatest heroes from The Confederation of Fondalar worked among this group. Originally formed by Travon Becker, third Lord of Trouffen, the guild consists of members of royalty, soldiers, and even the odd strays of society. The Guild works in groups of 4-8, but usually sticks to about 5. They are designed to infiltrate enemy lines and gather intelligence- whether in peacetime or war- without a trace. 

 NOTABLE MISSIONS 

 The exploits of the guild are legendary, largely contributing to the cause for peace during the turbulent turn of the fourth period. The first task for the group, which was formed in Freezmir of 4781 in Trouffen City, was to travel to Archia and the South Swamps to track down and capture a decomatic sorcerer. The resulting findings caused a series of events which ended in The Fondalian Civil War and The Third Magic War of Abeon, forever changing the landscape of Abeon. The third and final group of Protectors single handedly kept Fondalar afloat during the terrible reign of Preston the Weakling. The band was dissolved in 5055, after the leader Perry was assassinated right before a major meeting with King Laiden Bramwell. Many suspect the Guild had planned to kill the tyrannical King of Fondalar, but regardless, the killing of such an important member destroyed the courage of the other members, and they disbanded in early 5056 5p, leaving the populace without protection from the tyrant. 

NOTABLE MEMBERS 

 The members of the Guild are highly prestigious and elite soldiers, either in command or assassination. The most famous member was Blaze Axton who led the guild with Van the Warden and Jaxson Arden, the first king of Fondalar. Other members include Peregarde Axton and Gwendolyn Winslow.
