Lieutenant Commander Peregarde Henrietta Axton

 INTRODUCTION 

 Peregarde Henrietta Axton is the daughter of legendary heroes of The Third Magic War of Abeon Blaze Axton and Re''inn Stevenson. Although her lineage already signified her greatness in the United Kingdom of Fondalar, Peregarde- or Perry for short- made a name for herself as Commander of the Jade Regiments for Arden family during the late forty-ninth and fiftieth centuries 5p. Perry played an integral part of the Fondalian struggle for control of the Cordal Coast following the War of the Tree between Ardune and the Archkingdom (4835 - 4886 5p). Toward the end of her life, as many of the legends from the golden age of Fondalar began to pass away, Peregarde managed to ressurect a new 'Protectors Guild' which safeguarded the young kingdom during the turbulent reign of Preston I. 

 EARLY LIFE 

 Peregarde was born at the outset of the forty-ninth century, during a time of worldwide peace between the seven kingdoms of Abeon. However, her childhood was far from peaceful. With her father long dead, and her mother all but absent from her life, Perry was raised by Gwendolyn Winslow, the wife of Jaxson I and great friend of her father. She was taught to become a messenger-warrior in the 'green battalion' of the Fondalian Army, but quickly showed the promise and skill of her valkyrin lineage. 

 COMMANDER AXTON 

 In 4856, Peregarde was promoted to Lieutenant Commander of the Sixth Jade Regiment, and promptly deployed to the Cordal Coast. Under commands from her superior officer, her troop guarded the fragile port town of Tinebeth, which happened to lay inbetween the border of Ardune and Grinalia. In Jylon of 4859, at the end of her third year of deployment, Tinebeth came under attack by the Kingdom of Ardune. Despite enormously overwhelming odds, and a massive seaside assualt by the Ardune Navy, Perry defended the town with her regiment for six months, bringing Kerian VII's forces to a stall as they looked to reinvade Grinalia via the little town. She won the hearts of the town and her soldiers with her bravery, and Ardune eventually was forced to resign from the siege. In 4861, King Jaxson ordered the release of Peregarde from the new Ardune King, Kerian VIII, and Perry finally returned to Fondalar- five years after leaving. 

 THE REIGN OF PRESTON THE WEAKLING 

 Following the death of Jaxson Arden in 4899, Peregarde was thrust into the spotlight, being chosen as Commander of All Jade Regiments, effectively promoting her to sole leadership of the Fondalian Army. Although the struggle for survival was great during Preston's eighty year reign, Peregarde managed to be a calming and stable force for her people, showing great humility during the time of great strife and unrest.

FOLLOWING BLAZE'S LEGACY 

At the turn of the century, Peregarde stepped down from her post, following the ascension of Laiden Bramwell to the throne of Fondalar, the great nephew of the infamous Lord of Cizmark during the Fondalian Civil War. She spent her remaining years in Kristar, with the former Lady of Kristar, Catelyn Meyer. Catelyn's dying wish was for Peregarde to use her renown to rekindle a new Protectors Guild- one that would once again protect Fondalar from the coming threats, namely The Daines Rangers and the Kingdom of Ardune. In 5049 5p, Peregarde established a new order in Kristar, leading the new protectors guild in many secret adventures all over Abeon. Although the details were never recorded, many speculate the new guild played a part in the revolt of Emralda against their overlords, The Tsondalian Free Empire. 

THE FINAL DAYS 

 In 5055 5p, Fondalar began to fall back into the corruptions and immorality of the forty-eighth century, and those still loyal to the original Fondalar began to long for the reign of Jax the Just. They found hope in Peregarde and her new order, but that hope was quickly cut short. Just days before Perry was set to meet with King Laiden, a meeting which many speculated was a cover to assassinate the evil King of Fondalar, the former officer of the Jade Army fell ill from a resurgence of the Haze Plague in Southern Fondalar. Peregarde died on the final day of 5055, at the age of 254. With her death, all memory of the Golden Age of Fondalar diminished, and Fondalar fell into a ruinous state of darkness- one from which it would never recover.
