INTRODUCTION
Blaze Axton is a native of the Kristar Province in the Confederation of Fondalar. He lived and died during the tumultuous end to the Fourth Period of Abeon. The son of a relatively rich coal merchant of Shoreson, Blaze grew up with rigorous education and extensive studies in the University at Farburgh. However, nothing could steal his love for the sword and politics. Blaze served as the third and final Captain of Shoreson, and is still the youngest man ever to be elected to the office. He fought in the Fondalian Civil War and The Third Magic War of Abeon, leading the armies of Lady Catelyn Meyer and her half-sister, Neville. Despite his legendary status as a hero of the old Confederation, Blaze's shrouded past among the Protectors Guild and his dealing with Torallian Drows during the war, often get overlooked. At the end of his life, however, Blaze bravely stood with other heroes of the Freedom Alliance in 4781 to repel Sephtis Elymas and the entire Dark Reaper army at the Kristar River.
EARLY LIFE
Blaze grew up in and around the port city of Shoreson, where he learned how to read, write, and fight. His father and mother moved away to Kristar City when he was just thirty-two. With Catelyn Meyer taking the reigns of Kristar Lordship in 4746 5p (Fondalar counts the end of the Archian Rebellion as a period change), Blaze was seen as an good ally to the new leadership, and the people elected the popular, but somewhat unknown man, to the office of Lieutenant of Shoreson. He served as a soldier for sixteen years, fighting Archians and Rebels in Clochar six times. He was awarded nine medals of bravery by Lady Meyer, and earned her favor, creating a close relationship between the two. In Seolos of 4762, at the age of forty-nine, Blaze met and soon married the daughter of a miller, named Isabella. Six years later, Blaze and Isabella had their first child, who they named Henry. Soon after, in 4775, Blaze was elected as Captain of Shoreson, after the previous Captain was executed for treason. The seven year term would be the only served by Axton, as he was removed from office in Markus of 4781.
THE PROTECTORS GUILD
In the late days of Freezmir 4781 5p, Shoreson was assaulted and raided by strange creatures, resembling undead. In the skirmish, Isabella and Henry were murdered. Blaze vowed for revenge, and sought to find the one behind the mindless creatures' assault of his town. Lord Travon Becker of Trouffen soon after, enlisted Blaze's help in a group called the Protectors Guild, in a mission to find and capture whatever decomatic sources caused the creatures to be raised from the ground. The ensuing adventures are written in the Chronicle of Trouffen, by the hand of King Jaxson I, who traveled with Blaze in the guild. It was during this quest, that Blaze met Re''inn Stevenson, aka Beauregarde Shade, who would later become his friend and closest companion in the guild.
THE WARS OF FONDALAR
Blaze fought in a number of famous battles, where he transformed into a worldwide legend. The First battle he fought in, the Siege of Blackstone Keep, he is credited with slaying almost sixty Archian soldiers, saving the valkyrie Re'inn Shade, and ultimately facilitating the peace between future King of Ardune, Montiel I, and the Blackstonians left after the siege. After disappearing from the minds of his enemies for almost three months, Blaze reappeared at the Battle of Eight Flags, at Grinalia Plain in Adorea Province. It was here that he and The Daines Rangers, led by Neville Meyer and Gu'ure Brokkhelm, beat back the Dark Vanguard and ensured the destruction of the Adorian army at the hands of Lord Jaxson and Lady Catelyn. Soon after, Blaze was made commander of Kristar's first army, and organized the defense of the city during the Battle of Red Fields. Many historians debate whether he was responsible for the death of Sephtis Elymas, but it is generally agreed that this deed was done by Gwendolyn Winslow. In the end, Blaze was slain by Archian forces toward the end of the final battle of the Fondalian Theatre of the Third Magic War. In the last stand, Blaze fought alongside Valkyries from Hofslond, Drows and Arvenon from Tsonlar, Chambraids from the North Isles, and his brothers from Fondalar. His sacrifice saved the lives of many, including the Merciful, Van Ward. Ironically, almost all memory and legends of Blaze Axton were destroyed during the invasion of none other than the Daines Rangers in 5333 5p, less than six centuries later.
