Neville Meyer
Archprime Neville Terrifil Meyer
INTRODUCTION
As Fondalar entered its economic golden age at the turn of the 47th century, a child was born to Jacoby and Irelia Meyer. Their first daughter: Neville. They did not know the future for their daughter, as they were a fairly poor couple. But they both worked as peasant farmers to give Neville a solid education at the nearby University in Farburgh. They later had a second daughter, Catelyn, who was quickly recognized as the more sophisticated and scholarly of the two sisters. Despite the ability to send Neville to University, the Meyers could not afford to send Catelyn as well. Instead of taking advantage and becoming the more learned of the two, Neville took odd jobs in libraries and schools in order to pay for her sister to go to the University. She sent the money anonymously, trying to avoid any unwelcome debt Catelyn might have felt.
EARLY LIFE
After graduating in the middle of her class in Farburgh, Neville was only 22 years old. Taking teaching and scholarly jobs in the small city, Neville sent every extra sterling to her sister, impoverishing herself in order to give her sister a better chance at fortune and fame. At just 37 years old, Neville found herself in the company of the underbelly of Farburgh, mixed up in gangs and often forced into brothels. However, Neville was naturally a secretive person and kept all her struggles from anyone close to her, especially her sister. In this awful scenario, she fell in with a gang of roughnecks, who shared her want to break free of the undercity. In 4712 4p, Neville and forty others like her, single handily killed both sides of a cruel gang war, fleeing from Farburgh. The military in the town eventually broke down and ended the filthy and vile streets, completing Neville's mission.
FOUNDING OF THE DAINES RANGERS
The small band of outlaws fled to the refuge of the relatively uninhabited Daines Mountain Range. There they created a self sustaining society, training themselves in combat, farming, and basic government. For nearly forty years they lived in peace, until they clashed with a band of Kristar scouts. They were chased down by the Kristar Army and driven from their home and eventually found themselves back at Farburgh. With their leader dead after a particularly brutal journey through the peaks, Neville was chosen to lead the band. This position became known as Archprime of Rangers, a role which only Neville has ever held.
THE LADY OF THE LAKE
Archprime Meyer and her rangers act as a local guard for Farburgh, swearing allegiance to no one, but looking out for the inhabitants of their former home anonymously. Many see them as a threat, others see them as heroes; but no one ever interferes with their business. In 4759 4p, Neville was riding by herself at Willow Lake near the foot of the Daines Mountains, about four furlongs from Farburgh. She was attacked by a myriad of wild Graineags, likely migrants from the Lush Forest centuries past. She beat back the foes, but her horse was slain. With only her longsword and no supplies, Neville survived by the lake for three days. On the fourth morning, a massive sea serpent rose from the waters and attacked. According to her story, Neville slew the dragon in one swing, decapitating it immediately. Her sword was suspected from then on to be Erdiamic in nature, suddenly glowing crimson and becoming white hot when peril was nearby.
THE KRUPHUX CREST OF IRONELL
Unlike her more famous sister, Neville believes in the Middliton god, Ironell, a cult offshoot of Kroniism. Seven artifacts were created in the second period when the Eternal Empire of Graineags fell to the Northern Isles, in commemoration of the founding of Middilism. Two pauldrons and belt armor of purest Kruphux from Battlewrath were among them, given to the dwarves dwelling in Meleuhur. In 4703, they were found in the Daines Mountain Range by the Daines Rangers, and promptly given to their greatest warrior, Neville Meyer. Donning her infamous green tabbard with the armor, the very mention of her daunting look shook any enemies of peace in the foothills of southern Fondalar. Combined with her Erdiamic sword, Neville during the years of the Third Magic War was one of the most powerful humans alive in Northern Eteanal.
NEVILLE'S WARS
As tensions rose between the east and west in Fondalar, Neville quickly found herself torn between her hometown of Farburgh, located in Adorea, now the Eastern Fondalian Kingdom; and her devotion to her younger sister, Catelyn, who was Lord of Kristar, one of the two rebelling provinces in the Opposition West. Ultimately the Daines Rangers were forced into the war after Neville's arch rival, Jay Esegar, was revealed to be the primary orchestrator of the new Fondalian East. Under intense pressure from Commander Blaze Axton, Neville and her troops met battle first in the Plains of Grenalia in Northern Adorea, where they completely annihilated Captain Houston's army. This saved the Trouffenese Expedition from disaster- General Arden would have been completely trapped between Esegar and Houston. However, a great host of the rangers perished in the ambush. In the aftermath of the war, Neville reunited with her sister and received the title Archprime of Southern Adorea, effectively becoming one of the highest ranking officials in the shattered Confederation.
As events began to hail the rise of another great world war in Northern Eteanal, Neville and her rangers were called on once more by heroes of the west. In an attack that surprised the entire world, Archia brought a force of one hundred thousand to the doorstep of Fondalar- Kristar City. The following battle became known as the Battle of Red Fields, but the fighting took place on four fronts throughout the Daines Mountains, each placing a key part in the battle for the North. Neville and her six hundred warriors were called on by Lord Arden to defend the entire East Daines Range, holding back a stretch force of nearly six thousand Archian Infantry. In a series of skirmishes over the next thirty days, Neville inflicted heavy casualties on Prince Amon's forces. However, in the final set of 4781, Neville and her diminished Ranger troop found themselves in the open against four hundred infantry and a Decomatic Warlock. The following battle shed blood all over the foothills, and resulting in the death of nearly everyone present, including Neville and the Dark Reaper. As a witness of the battle put: "Neville did not back down when fighting the reaper, instead, she fought with resolve to the bitter end of her sacred and heroic life." Neville slayed the Dark Reaper, but perished while doing so. Her scattered troops fled to Kristar and took part in the last stand at Meyer's Keep. Regardless of her failure to defend the Daines Mountain Range in the Third Magic War, Neville is forever a legendary hero of Farburgh and all of Southern Adorea.
Relationships

BOWING TO NO ONE
Lady Neville's rally cry for her rangers concerns her never complying with any government or people, only looking out for the good of the people she loves. In a famous line, Neville was quoted to have told General Jay Esegar of Adorea that '(I) will never bow to you or any of you Fondalian rats'. While some found this to be unsettling that she may war with Fondalar at some point, those who knew her best took it to be a rally cry for their cause- they were a force not to be reckoned with or subdued. Esegar proceeded to burn all the supplies of ranger outpost, forever submitting himself as her enemy. Despite her hatred for the west as much as the east, Neville and the Daines Rangers ended up joining The Opposition West Provinces in the Fondalian Civil War in 4781 4p, primarily because the leader of the Eastern Kingdom of Fondalia happened to be General Jay Esegar. Whether Esegar ever knew it or not, burning the supply train for the rangers ended up being the downfall of his Province.
