The Keepers of Kor'non

 INTRODUCTION

The Keepers of Kor'non are the most powerful of the ancient demigod's demons from the Dark Pit. They have no physical form, but instead, possess the bodies of corrupted souls on Eteanel as they see fit. Their archrivals are the Merciful, the angels of Loscin and the commanders of his divine legions. There are not many earthly battles between these two factions written down in earthly history, but one such instance was the primary conflict of The Second Magic War of Abeon. The souls of corrupted and possessed bodies are never released, save the instance of Blaze Axton following the cosmic balance achieved during The Third Magic War of Abeon. Although Kor'non has many demons, his five most powerful are the keepers- the Keeper of Words, Souls, Darkness, Dead, and All.

 THE KEEPER OF DARKNESS

The Keeper of Darkness is the most feared demon of all, sometimes referred to in lore as 'The Leader of the Five'. Darkness is an ancient demon, one of the original deformities created in the Dark Pit by Kor'non during the first period of Abeon. Darkness was the first of Kor'non's Keepers to wield the dark half of Raphter's Bane, the shard of the white moon, the anicent light of the heavens before the dark moon.

Notable possessions by the Keeper of Darkness include Lord Sephtis Elymas I of Archia during the Third Magic War, as well as the Lord of Fynwhich during the sixth period of Etanel. The latter was a defiant attempt by Kor'non to undo the good Andryr the Sapphire had done as the Lady of Fynwhich years prior, but was put to rest by Simon the Sunfeller when he returned in 5904 6p.

 THE LESSER KEEPERS

The Four Other Demons of Kor'non- Souls, Death, Words, and All- are not nearly as powerful as Darkness, and thus earned the name 'the four lesser keepers'. They each possess one of the four traits of decomancy, the magic which they wield. The Keeper of Death possesses lightning melding, Souls uses necromancy, Words uses corruption, and All uses the art of deception and submission. While they all complete the cycle of decomatic powers, separated they are rather weak compared to the merciful of Loscin, who typically travel in groups of three or more.

 THE WHITE SHARD OF RAPHTER
The Legend of Raphters Bane is a great myth from the first period, later confirmed at the end of the Fourth Period when Van the Warden banished the Keepers of Kor'non from Etanel by connecting the two halfs of the moon-jewel. The Legend goes that a great Arvenon Lord of the first period caught a piece of the white moon of Loscin during the Cosmic War of the Titan Age, and it became the only part of the light that remained during the great darkness of Kor'non. After Lunist the Golden Commander came to Raphter at the end of the first period, she purloined half of the jewel, but the other half Raphter kept to himself. Lunist kept her half for four and a half thousand years, until she eventually handed it to Van the Warden who brought it to the Merciful in 4781 4p. The other half fell into mystery and lore, completely vanishing from existence. In 4781, Van and Lunist found it in the caves of the cursed veil with the help of Svynhyde Stevenson the Valkyrie. Despite the best efforts of the Keepers, the merciful were able to achieve cosmic balance through the jewel known as Raphter's Bane.
