Session 13

Planning...Sorta

General Summary

Recap

We found two unmanned ships near the exploded cliffside with smoke still rising from the cavern mouths. Some folks died due to the explosion and the falling debris. When entering the cave sounds of figthing was heard. Inside Gunther was fighting alongside Merida and Bree against the fungus while lots of other laid dead or unconscious across the floor.
We fought together againts the Musk lilies and convinced them to come with us back to town to plan on how to fight back against this fungus issue.
However Saga discovered another not fully-formed lichenposter resembling Muireall. It died as soon as it emerged from the marmelade (possible because Muir is technically dead) but this kinda means that anyone in town can be replaced.
Back at the station we discussed the situation, but because a long and eventful day we were too tired. We learned the smugglers first encountered the fungus in the Reservoir of Knowledge beneath the town, but it is very big and to explore the entire thing would be nigh impossible. The decision was made to plan at dawn with the Ingrids temporarily staying at the station alongside the smugglers.

Summary

Before heading to the station to plan Muir caught sight of another Ingrid near the old chapel. At the station the planning went slow as we're stumped on what to do. Bree offered to check out more of their hidden caches for gunpowder and supplies, while Merida supported the idea to check out the Old Reservoir. Alaric was contemplating evacuation but this will take a long time and be difficult, just like getting everyone checked at the old chapel is difficult. As the divine is working against them it was also noted that maybe we should find a way to increase the range of divinity if possible.
We decided to fist investigate what this new Ingrid was doing. Once outside Bree halted us and told us that she saw an ingrid kill Magnus from beneath the waves. She wanted to let us know out of earshot of the Ingrids as she isn't sure it wasn't one of them. She also asked Saga if she could collevtct some herbs for her.
At the old chapel, the new Ingrid left a small (very difficult to see) trail of molding grass as the grass she stepped on was showing signs of white mold. this trail led us to 15 ft outside the entrance where it stopped and instead a chareed spot with the scent as ozone remains. We still don't know what caused this lightning charring.
Inside the chapel we found a clump of moss right before the exit with 6 small, blue capped mushrooms growing. This was not here the day before. Curious we tried to pick them and learned the shrooms zap people with lightning when picked. Muir managed to collect one of them without discharging by using lightning lure and continously keeping it under voltage. When she stopped doing so later, the shroom didn't discharge immediately.
We asked the Ingrids about the mushroom to which they stated that it seems to be a variant of Fey Whisper a colorful musroom that is used in sleeping potions for good dreams, visions and (if used with bad intentions) severe hallucinations. This last part was left out by the Ingrid which came from the blob. After discussing with Alaracic we agreed to try and keep the Ingrids seperate for awhile to see if they still would behave the same or if one of them would slip up.
Our current plan is to collect the remaining 3 mushrooms and have the Ingrids create a potion of it under Saga's supervision. Muir wants to drink it to see if she can get a vision to help us. We also plan to go into the Old Reservoir.

15 ft outside of the shrine stops - part closer to the shrine looks charred by lightning, not as big as the smite
Investigate the chapel - no person, but a new clump of moss with small mush obnoxiously bright blue cap, pink stem growing there - Saga doesn't know what they are, fast growing not same spot as where imposter died
scent of ozone around mush when picked - lightning juts out from mush, tirns brown-reddish - 5 left
Saga tries to pick - but gets zapped 3d4 lightning and flung backwards 10 ft - 4 left
Muir lighning lures them - kept under perma voltage to keep from zapping - 3 left

seperate ingrid questions?
picked the left one, the one who was conscious at chapel - variant of Fey Whisper - a colorful rare mush associated with passages to the fey wild, used in potions and rituals ex. like sleeping potion (good dreams), or vision potion, hallucinate, but never seen one that jolts peeps.
