Romaya

A small continent that sits off of the coasts of Savidh and ruled by the dwarven Kingdom of Alencia. While the land had already been discovered prior to the arrival of the dwarves, they were the first species to explore Romaya and thus, laid claim to it. Given that it was rich in natural resources, it didn't take long for several settlements to grow into large cities. The cities of Alencia and Belisa are well known, the latter being situated next to the Lulencia Mountains. Romaya is a popular place for miners and farmers to settle down as there's no shortage of work to be done.   The majority of the population is made up of dwarves, gnomes, and humans. While the northern stretches of Romaya are mostly uninhabited, there are small villages closer to the mountainside. The rest of the continent's population resides in the southern portions of Romaya where the weather is much warmer. The elven kingdom of Liosduin Bhearna has tried to establish colonies on Romaya despite disapproval from the continent's ruling powers. The elven navy has met resistance from the locals as well, costing them valuable resources over time. Tensions are high all over Romaya due to their refusal to back down, inevitably building up to a war between the Kingdom of Alencia and Liosduin Bhearna.

Geography

Romaya is a small continent within the seas surrounding Savidh. The southern portions of the continent fall into a tropical climate with dry, hot summers and wet winters. The Lulencia Mountains divide these warmer parts from the cold forests to the north. Several natural springs dot the valleys of the mountains, providing fresh water to the nearby settlements. In the forests of Romaya, an underground cavern system crawls beneath the mountains and out into the sea.
