Othryn Barrens

The Othryn Barrens is a large region in southern Orioth, located between the Northern Aikana Mountains and the Southern Aikana Mountains, and including the Rathys Jungle. Before the Age of Iron, the what is now the Orthry Barrens was mostly covered by the Rathys Jungle. The continuous rampages by Masalisk, and the twisted magics of Ishtaya, killed mile after mile of sprawling greenery, until what remaines is a blasted landscape of sun-baked earth. The Othryn Barrens is contested terriotry, primarily between Felryn and the Othryn Covenant, composed of Vorsk and Vyzanthia. The population of the barrens is made up primarily of Orcs, Kobolds, and Tabaxi displaced from the lost sections of the Rathys Jungle. To the north is Mosgar Pass, seperating the barrens from the Esqualdan Plains.
