Vorsk

Vorsk is a nation in southern Orioth. It covers the majority of the Southern Aikana Mountains, as well as a portion of the constantly-contested Othryn Barrens. Vorsk is a member of the Othryn Covenant, along with Vyzanthia, and they constantly scuffle along the border shared with Felryn. The population of Vorsk is primarily Dwarf, Orc, Minotaur, Ashen and Tabaxi. The capital of Vorsk is Alvost. The nation is ruled by the Clan's Council, one representative of each of the nation's Hundred Clans. The people of Vorks follow a form of ancestor worship. While they acknowledge the Meridian, they primarily worship the Ascendant, specifically the ascendant mortals from which the clans can trace their history (Although these histories are not always accurate, and multiple clans often claim the same mortal progenetor as patron). They also practice and art called Oghamic Scripting, in which tools, weapons, or other objects are marked with the bearer's deeds. Vorsk is the largest producer of iron ore and worked steel in all of Orioth, although it's rough landscape limits agriculture. They favor Apiaries in the higher mountains, while the lower hills are often levelled for the growth of crops, primarily potatoes. They drink mostly mead and vodka. The most common labor animal is the mule, while Mountain Bison are hunted for meat and hides.
