The Maelstrom is a powerful, seemingly never-ending whirlpool to the east of Megalos in the Remnant Isles. It as conjured by Archmagus Rowlen Tellurien of the Order of the Golden Rose, using the power of the Nagothian Vortex, to sink the fleet of the Pirate Queen Synafae at the end of the Age of Iron.
