Synafae

Synafae was once a low-ranking member of a pirate vessel, a deckhand of no note or renown. As her ship raided a well-laiden vessel, she managed to be the first into the ship's arcane-secured treasury. The treasury contained multiple magical artefacts, but among them was a ring. This ring contained a Djinn, who offered Synafae a wish. She wished for immortality, and the Djinn granted it... by posessing her, her body would be rendered immortal. Using it's power, she slaughtered both the ship's crew and the pirate crew, claiming both vessels and all the magical artefacts for herself. Uing both the objects and her Djinn powers, Synafae brought crew after crew under her heel, until she became the Pirate Queen of the Remnant Isles, and a member of the Pact of Iron.
Synafae's flagship, the Tempest, roamed up and down the northern coast, eventually giving it it's current name, the Tempest Coast. Still, it was closer to home, off the eastern coast of the Remnant Isles that she finally fell, her ship drawn under the waves by a massive, endless Maelstrom conjured by Archmagus Rowlen of the Order of the Golden Rose, using a took nown as the Nagothian Vortex.
