The Susurration

A vast hive of insect monsters to the southeast of Vellanixhal. From the surface it resembles a conical depression in the ground, one that gets steeper the closer you get to the middle. Underneath it is a maze of tunnels and caves carved out by the monsters that live there. At the very centre of the Susurration there is a wide vertical shaft leading down to unknown depths. From those depths rises a tower, built by magic in an an ancient age. It is now occupied my monsters, with a mysterious feature at its top. The entirety of the Susurration is girded by a magical barrier that prevents the monsters from leaving and causing chaos in the locality.
The Susurration is also the site of the yearly event of the same name.
