The Susurration (event)

This yearly event takes place at the location of the same name.
The magical barrier keeping all the monsters inside requires renewing on a yearly basis. It is strengthened by scores of adventurers working in concert. While this ritual is underway, the barrier is at its weakest. Hundreds of adventurers are required to deal with the monsters that push through at this time. Some parties of adventurers are sent inside to make sure the barrier isn't being undermined and check for any particularly powerful monsters that might threaten the barrier directly.
