Gidestar Mountains

A mountain range in the eastern part of the Central Safe Zone. It has several notable peaks but they remain unnamed as the area is extremely difficult to traverse. The Aneshvel River rises in these mountains and flows through a series of small waterfalls until the large drop at the head of the Aneshvel Rift. The lower slopes of the mountains have areas of hostile wilderness that are mostly swampland. One notable feature to the south of the range is the Gidestar hills area.
Some parts of the mountains have been twisted geographically by magic. Like a rumpled sheet, there is more surface area than the space on the map would suggest. This can make navigation counter-intuitive and annoying.
