The Child – Episode 7

The battle for the babe begins.

Inside the Bastion Tree, the disguised Desdemonia administered the “antidote” to the newborn Princess Nimria, her parents none the wiser. Meanwhile, outside, her fell companions began their assault on the elven stronghold. While Agnoment flew circles around the fortified tree, Dr. Hughbert, Alizabeth and Erick Idylvain infiltrated the “Ambassador” Tree and ran afoul of a massive ironwood Sworn Seed and the princess’s personal caretaker. They immediately engaged in battle, Dr. Hughbert injecting Alizabeth with a growth serum and Erick transforming once again into the ferocious gargoyle.
Meanwhile, back inside the Bastion Tree, Desdemonia schemed for a means to lower the elven defenses. When King Maoras proved initially suspicious of her, the succubus cast charm person on the elven monarch. Falling under her spell, he became that more susceptible to her suggestions. At her urging, he sent all the servants and noncombatants from the room, opening the entrance to the servant tree.
Outside, Agnoment was peppered by arrows from the elven sentries. Casting a globe of darkness around themselves, they heard the opening of the drawbranch and appeared, like the avenging angel they were, in the open doorway. Attempting to bewitch Queen Sionne with a crown of madness, Agnoment nonetheless drew the attention of every archer in the room.
Desdemonia next convinced King Maoras to flee with his infant daughter into the nursery. No sooner has he done so, however, and seen the war waged between tree, gargoyle, monster and mad scientist, then he handed the child to Desdemonia, transformed into a wood elemental and then waded into combat.
