Barnacle Buck Building / Landmark in Nor | World Anvil

Barnacle Buck

Barnacle Buck is a large skeleton of a giant megladon that juts from the sand on the northern shore of Mosaw Island just a few miles from Haram Bay. The skeleton is half buried and even then it juts almost 30 feet from the ground.
The Skeleton have been there for as long as anyone can remember. Due the its location and its populartiy it tend to be a common meeting place for the people of the bay, that need to do business outside of the ton for any reason.   It is a tradition of the Pirates of Haram Bay to carve the names of departed pirates into the bones of Buck along with the date, place and cause of death to memorialize them. As the tide comes in and covers the name, they are rembered to Tempest. While many of the older names have been washed out over the years there are still some that seems to avoid the effect of the tides, and they are said to be blessed by the Goddess of storms herself.
