The Crystal Throne is the seat of the ruler of the Crystal Kingdom but has already been around since ancient times. It was first mentioned in the Divine Golem myth as the throne of the god Tanajin. When Tanajin travelled west he left the throne to his high priest until his return.
But Tanajin never returned.To this day the rulers of the nation and its capital Kasan still claim to be descendants of this high priest.

Function

Ever changing

The Crystal Throne by itself is quite beautiful and as its name suggests looks like it was made from a crystal. The strange thing about the throne, however, is that its form is not as rigid as one would think. One who is quite powerful in the use of Air Magic is able to change the form of the throne to suit their needs. The throne has therefore been changed quite often and has been able to just as easily fit a large Dragon as a Draconid.

Power

According to those who sit on the throne it is more than just a regal seat. Due to the material it has been made of, and perhaps also thanks to what Tanajin did to it, the throne increases the magical ability of its occupant.
Dragons are the best at using its abilities and are able to use it to control the weather of the region or change the location of the flying islands of Kasan if they wish. Some think that the throne even allows the occupant to hear anything going on in the valley or get visions of events. This might explain why the Dragon Emperor seems to know everything before they reach him in person.

Only one throne of this kind is known to exist.

Materials and Components

Despite its name the throne itself appears to be made out of one piece Cloud Fall. The changing form is, however, not a characteristic of this material. Many therefore theorise that Tanajin must have done something special to it when creating the throne.

Location

The Crystal Throne has always been located at the heart of Kasan, the Seeria Crystal. The palace around it has been altered quite a few times but the thrones location was never changed.

Religion

As the throne seems to be made out of one large piece of Fall many think that the throne is made from a part of Seeria itself. This is because the body of Seeria, Seeria's Crystal, despite its religious importance for the Ilbon Pantheon, is still a gigantic Fall crystal.
Some think that Seeria herself can talk to the occupant of the throne and reveal things going on in the region or that will happen. This somewhat would explain the seemingly large increase in knowledge a ruler gets when ascending the throne. Many pilgrims travel to Kasan to get a glimpse of the Seeria Crystal or the Crystal Throne in the hopes of getting a vision from the Dragon Goddess themselves.
