Arroggaden

When I was told about the Arroggaden, I was sceptical to hear about a large lizard being so dangerous it could kill upwards of 30 people without any trouble. It sounded very much like a "dragon", or a "raignon" as they call it. But he was adamant that it was not the case and showed me a painting, a tooth and scales of this creature. While I had the evidence there in my hands, I still was an unbeliever of such a creature. And it was because I feared that the Demons might use them in war, or worse yet, a free and wild one appearing in Marlun to wreak havoc.

Telamirein has its own beasts to deal with that are a terrifying thought to face. Narzuvim, however, take these beasts and makes them a laughing matter if one is to believe demons talking about their home continent. One of the creatures they speak of is the Arroggaden, a huge lizard with a deadly fire breath and claws that can tear asunder iron with little resistance. One can not go to the conclusion of comparing it to Dragons but according to Nekuram scholars they are strictly different creatures. Still, some say they are one of the sources of the legends about dragons due to their similarities. One is however very real in this time and age...

Anatomy

The Arroggaden is a quadrupedal creature walking on four sharp-clawed feet. These are used to slash at prey and hostile creatures with deadly implications if they are to hit as it has been able to cut through thick armour with little resistance. They seem to be also able to use the same claws to climb walls noted by guards at Krakros' Firerift. This climb is slow compared to its movement on flat terrain which it shows to be quite agile.

It possesses a tail that has a large muscular structure capable of causing large amounts of damage with swipes. It uses this against hostiles attacking from behind but is also seen using it as an "escape measure"(?) to cause dust clouds in dry environments.

Senses

Its sense is sharp, capable of noticing smaller prey in a wide range around it with its eyes. The eyes can see up to 120 degrees without moving their head. Arroggadens can also sense smell to an unknown range but unlike other, smaller lizards they seem not to rely on this way of perception. It "smells" with both its nose and tongue, vibrating in a soft and distinct sound.

Abilities

Arroggaden has a frightening ability to exhale fire from its mouth. It does this in a spray that reaches upwards of five-seven meters. This makes sure that the arroggaden is a top predator in Narzuvim with few equals. The fire breath is used in other ways beyond attack. As a carnivorous creature it seems to like to roast its meals before consumption. It is also noted that it is used in maiting rituals bewteen the two sexes in a display of... unknown reason. Scholars are unsure which of the sides it is for, only that both does so. Some speculate that it is to "show off" the ability to breath hotter or "better" than other members of each sex.

It has no known ability to sense magic or use any magical ability.
