Quiaties (kee-AH-tees)

The ethnic group of Humans native to Jonu Quiato. They were raised from shale stone by Anaphrene and led from modern day Sulghury by Mensonodia and her children through the vast Poppied Hills. They settled those hills and the fields as far south as the Greenbelt and as far north as the Safflow Wall.
Quickly, their ethnic traits and cultures split off and individual groups welcomed or shunned outsiders such as the Sulgharian Tauruson and Manatza Canison. Many of the Giants of the plains such as the Doun Hoigh and Ebigana also defined new ethnicities.
The original Quiaties humans were lighter skinned with a reddish tint, with hair ranging from brown to blond, and narrow eyes almost always yellow or gold in color. The shale they were raised from was deeply corrugated and gave them the characteristic wrinkles seen in even their adolescents.
