Mensonodia

Prayer, rain, and rice: that is all your people need, Ingie, my son. That and nothing more.
-- Mensonodia
One of the Fronteir Gods. She led her sons and the Quiaties peoples across the Mindreland after the death of Helenaphe.   Called the Grandmother Goddess by those who worshipped her, she and her children founded countless settlements across Jonu Quiato. So many, in fact, that they could not keep track of them all and many people endured hardships without her aid

The "Oldest" of the Gods

Though Helenaphe was indisputably the most powerful of her kin, Mensonodia is often considered the oldest and also the wisest. Her wrinkled, sagging skin was heavy with jewelry and she dressed luxuriously and in many layers. Depictions of her range from a kindly grandmother to a stern crone and she abundantly demonstrated the traits of both. From an unknown union, long before her arrival on New Haven, she had birthed six sons: Menemaijar, Mantie, Esteppan, Antona, Ingie, and Ongie. A single daughter, Quianna, was birthed on New Haven, from her pregnancy that was already far along upon her arrival.

Associations

Mensonodia is associated with rice, flax, vinegar, rum, leather and of the precious gems, opals and onyx. These are her typical offerings in ceremonies and prayers dedicated to her.   In Jonu Quiato, she is worshipped as supreme alongside Helenaphe but beyond those lands, she is renowned for her material protectiveness and sternness as well as her keen senses. People pray to her for guidance in family matters and life events, making offerings in the hope that she will guide their decisions.
