Helpharian (hel-FAR-ee-an)

The ethnic group particular to Helphar, a land south of the Mismaur Divide. Rather than complete their form at the birthplace in Sulghury, the two gods who led them across to the cold Helphar lands let them be unformed and soft. Where the people settled on the snowy hills and plains, the snow entered their blood and imbued them with their pale features. The gods Heles and Ephar were the first to be worshipped and were how the people where known: The people of Heles and Ephar.
Helpharian humans are pale-skinned and with hair ranging from white to a very light blond. Their eyes are small and narrow with irises of dark blue or gray. Helpharians rarely feel "coldness" having snow and ice in their blood. To them, anything above 60° F is unbearably hot.
Urson have long had cultural and political influences on the Helpharians. After mass migrations of Doeson in the 1500s onward, the "snowy does" have been central to Helpharian culture as well.
