Session 15 - Birth of the Trollslayer
General Summary
We return to Oscar's explanation of his experience with The Order. A man with glowing blue eyes was spotted in the woods. Oscar, being curious, went out looking for the source. The man with the glowing eyes appeared suddenly and asked Oscar why he followed him, to which Oscar admitted he wanted something different than his stuffy life in Luxury Acres.
The man then whisked Oscar away to an island. It was there he met The Order, who told him they wanted to make the world a better place. They told him that he needed to find other good people like him to send to their island, so that they could assist in changing the world for the better. And after spending enough time with the party, Oscar saw them as perfect candidates.
A few days later on their travels, the party ran into a carriage with a broken wheel. A man flagged down the party, and introduced himself as Rowan the Entertainer. He asked the party for some supplies to fix his wheel, and in exchange, offered them some food and friendly banter. The party gave him the supplies for his repairs, but chose to move on and continue on the path to Remington Kingdom. Rowan said his goodbyes to the party, noticing Oscar Barnette as they leave...
As the party finally crested the hill to see Remington Kingdom, they noticed something was very off. The guards that would typically be stationed out front were nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, a loud roar echoed from within the walls, prompting the party into action! Sasha, Hamilton, and Skinny rushed in to find a troll wreaking havoc on the Kingdom! Sidge laid by a building, severely wounded.
Skinny rushed in and got Sidge out of harm's way, while Sasha and Hamilton joined the guards in fending off the troll.
Together, the trio successfully defeated the troll, despite Skinny suffering a near-fatal wound. Sasha dealt the killing blow, finishing the beast off once and for all.
More guards suddenly burst from within Castle Remington, led by Aldo. Clearly overwhelmed, Also demanded the party be arrested until the matter can be solved, but before things could escalate, Elysia ran out and stopped everything. She insisted that the last thing the party deserved was to be arrested, seeing as they retrieved Oscar. She told everyone to get their wounds treated at Percival's clinic, and then report to the castle for a well-deserved meal and some rest.
And so, the party got their wounds checked out, then went to the castle to receive their reward for all their efforts...
