Session 10 - Off to Emmett
General Summary
Johnson and Skinny spoke more about what it is to be a Rider. He warned Skinny that just because he was a member of the Riders, it doesn't mean he gets anything "cool" just yet. Johnson then encouraged Skinny to continue to travel with his group, and prove he has what it takes to be a Rider by helping people along his travels.
Meanwhile, Hamilton ran off into the woods just outside of Central City. Hamilton's emotions were running high, but his thoughts were interrupted by three thugs emerging from the woods. The man in front, unbeknownst to Hamilton, was Sal, the same man Sasha punched earlier that day.
Sal explained he was aware that Hamilton came into town with Sasha, and all he wanted was revenge for what she did to him. Hamilton tried to respond diplomatically, but things quickly escalated into a bloody fight! Hamilton was forced to kill both Sal and one of the thugs. The final of the three escaped into the woods, shouting, "Just wait until Roxie finds out about this!"
During all of this, Skinny met up with Sasha and Eleanor, who together reflected on what had happened with Hamilton. Sasha and Eleanor tried to reassure Skinny that Hamilton was just overwhelmed, They agreed to go find Hamilton and talk more on the matter later.
After the fight, Hamilton ran into the party back in Central. The group spoke a little more about Hamilton's lashing out, and to calm his party's worries, Hamilton asked to have his weapons taken away from him. Eleanor agreed, and chose to store his pistols in Cookie's compartment for the time being.
After that, the party packed up and left Central, with plans to head down to Emmett to track down Oscar Barnette. Acknowledging the danger in Emmett, Sasha, Hamilton, and Skinny chose to have Eleanor and Cookie stay behind in Luxury Acres until they returned.
With that, the trio walked down to Emmett, on their guard. But as they traveled through the night, they heard the sounds of carriages. Suddenly, out of the brush, Tinheart and the Red Fangs' convoy emerged, weapons pointed at the party. Tinheart attempted to intimidate the party into revealing where Cookie was ever since Skinny ran away from the initiation with her, but he remained tight-lipped.
Seeing his intimidation tactics mostly fail, he gave the party a deal: do a simple job for the Red Fangs to repay the debt they owe, and all is forgiven. Skinny and the others agreed, and were hauled into one of the carriages to finally arrive in Emmett.
