Everyone. There’s a 100% chance of infection after you touch an infected person and the people who are most vulnerable are people who work in a highly crowded environment like schools and at big corporations. The death rate was the same among kids and adults alike.
It’s not good knowing that someone close to to you might die at any moment. It’s frightening. I hope it doesn’t happen to one of us. - Random Citizen

History
The first case of it was in the year 239 DE. It was in a big country called Aclar and within a few hours over 200,000 people caught it. Traders came from different continents and caught it. They brought the disease to their home and millions of other people got it and died. The victims died within a few weeks.
Scientists tried to find a cure for it but the slightest contact will give them the disease. The cure was never discovered due to the scientists dying before anything was accomplished. The citizens stayed away from anyone who had Silent Diphtheria and eventually the disease died down. It became known as The Merciless Pandemic.
Scientists and researchers are still trying to understand how this pandemic started and why. They can’t seem to find an answer but they have a few theories. Some say it was because of an animal and some suspect it was dark magic at its finest.
The pandemic has been a mystery to all of us. We’ve been researching it for a couple thousand years and haven’t found anything. It’ll be a miracle if we can find anything of importance. - Anonymous Historian
Okay. That's a scary one. No prevention, no cure, no way to know if it will happen again!
