Material Characteristics

Raw Dynamesium is a bright, reflective silver that also flashes with gold. In veins beneath C'Phini, it is found in both large solid pieces that have to be broken up as well as smaller chunks.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Raw Dynamesium is too hot to touch for several hours once it has been mined, due to the high heat of C'Phini. Once it is transported off planet and put into a cooling chamber for ten hours, it becomes merely warm to touch and can be held with a bare hand. This natural warmth persists until the ore is processed.

Compounds

Most often Dynamesium is used to craft the armor of the Senate's Silver Soldiers but it is also used in certain construction projects because of its durability.

Geology & Geography

Dynamesium has only ever been found on C'Phini and it generally appears very close to the active lava pools and veins on the surface of the planet. This makes mining it extra dangerous, as a simple misstep in calculations on the part of a robot operator can cause the loss of a vein if lava flows into it. The lava of C'Phini is too hot even for the best robot money can create.

Origin & Source

There is no exact name for the rock that makes up the surface of C'Phini where Dynamesium comes from. The rock itself is useless for construction projects as it retains so much natural heat that even being near shards of it can cause objects to catch on fire.

History & Usage

Discovery

Dynamesium was discovered in 40 AFT on C'Phini when it just happened to be in close proximity to Ilaan during the latter's terraforming. Due to the intense natural heat of the planet, however, samples could not be retrieved at the time.
It wasn't until eighty years later in 120 AFT that the technology was developed that could allow for remotely controlled mining robots to land on the planet. This was after decades of intense testing and development (as well as several failures).

Everyday use

One of the main uses of Dynamesium since its discovery has been in the armor of the Silver Soldiers, the military arm of The Core Senate. It has also been used in the construction of some buildings, including The Moon Tower in the High Broaldi sector on Daant Arga (now under control of the Wolf Sisters gang) and the Silver Sanctum that is now the headquarters of the Senate on Rasnes Betha. Despite their fall from complete power across the Cluster, the Senate still holds control of how and when Dynamesium can be used.
