Virdi

Goddess of Nature, Goddess of Tricks, Child of Eldath

Virdi (Ver-de), the Goddess of Nature and Tricks, and a young member of The Eres. She watched the creation of Naneth by Eldath and Silvanus, watching them closely. She is also known as the daughter of Eldath, and the third true nature god on Naneth.   During the The Betrayal, Virdi fought beside the other Eres against Bane, Bhaal and Myrkul. After The Dead Three had been banished. Eldath and Silvanus decided to leave Naneth, retreating to The Feywild, giving Naneth a chance to flourish away from the direct influence of the gods. However, Virdi did not follow the whims of her elders and decided to stay on The Mortal Plane.   On Naneth she continues to watch over Eldath's and Silvanus creations personally, usually lingering within the grand forests of the world. The Elves of Ironwood Kingdom knew her as caretaker of the green world, and a friend to animals. She would often appear as a beautiful maiden of the forest, to those that shared her same values. Although when she appeared to Humans, she was depicted as a small lost child with a crooked twig. In this form, Virdi became a trickster, especially to those looking to cause harm to the natural world. Virdi often offers a game of chance to those that she meets in the forest, presenting travelers with a chance to interact with a powerful artifact; The Deck of Many Things.

Worshipers

Elves across Naneth recognize her as a Goddess of Nature and the Child of Eldath. She is greatly loved and revered by the Eldar folk and other creatures of the forest. Creatures like Dryads, Spriggens and Fairies consider Virdi to be their primary patrons.   The Guardians, as primary conservationists on Naneth, consider Virdi an ally and inspiration. They often pray to her, looking for guidance towards continuing their missions. Druids, Rangers and the occasional Rogue or Sorcerer consider Virdi as a patron.

Artifacts

The Deck of Many Things”; As a trickster, Virdi was the one that created this chaotic game of cards. Virdi picks and chooses who will partake in the drawing of these cards, often willing it upon her enemies, as this game’s reputation is usually one of ruin.
