Eldath
Mother of Eldar, Goddess of Peace, Guardian Mother
Eldath (el-dath), is one of the original creators of Naneth. Eldath was one of the Eres . Alongside her brother; Silvanus , they shaped and gave birth to the first iteration of Naneth during the Age of Creation. At the same time, they created Elves, the Eldar folk. Elves were created to be shepherds of Naneth, to watch over and care for all natural life.
After Naneth and their initial creations had been established, Eldath and Silvanus began to allow other Eres to begin shaping life, in the forms they saw fit. Together with Sandrum and Armok , the siblings created Naneth's vast waterways, towering peaks, and lush forests. But as the creator of natural and growing life, Eldath focused her efforts mostly upon animals, plants, and other subjects that she would see grow and multiply.
After The Betrayal at the hands of Bane , Bhaal, and Myrkul, Eldath was not one of the main combatants in the war that led to the Dead Three's banishment to the Underblaze . Although she supported her fellow Eres in their decision to do so. Eldath, alongside the other Eres, made the decision to leave the mortal plane of Naneth, deciding that the realm would have a better chance of flourishing without constant intervention. Eldath and Silvanus retreated to the Feywild, where they still keep watch over Naneth.
Worshipers
As the Mother of Eldar, Eldath is widely revered by elvenkind across Naneth. Her most devoted followers resided in the Ironwood Kingdom of Arnad-Ang, now the Ironwood elves of Astora. The elves of Meridian also count among her most devoted, often decorating their houses in shades of green or beautiful flowers. Apart from elvenkind, most humans and halfings found in Astora and Meridian also show her great reverence. Druids and Rangers also count among her followers. The Guardians, a group made up of mainly elves, with smaller cells of humans and halfings, have devoted their lives to Eldath and to the protection of all her creations. While they typically strive to follow Eldath's teachings of peace, the group has been known to stoop to violent measures, inhabiting a more aggressive form of conservation when the need arises. The Remnants, rebels of the old Ironwood Kingdom may also count among the number of primary Eldath worshipers, although their extreme behavior more so mirrors the teachings of Silvanus.Artifacts
“Mirror of Serenity”; a beautiful silver mirror, when peered into, the beholder should see the ideal version of themselves, as Eldath had always intended. “Glas Gal Mel”; an unknown artifact that legends say can restore life to even ancient dead and forgotten souls. Potentially the most powerful artifact on Naneth.
