Sofia is the leader of The Waking and a well known and VERY potent psychic and seer who has skills sought after by most factions and a sight that extends almost as far as the Allsight spell. 

As the leader of the Waking, Sofia has specialised in surviving long nights, making it through at least one... though she is unsure if it was more due to the madness those nights bring. 

A tall, fierce and intimidating woman with a real pride in her The Kae origin and a love of honour and Kaechaek values, Sofia often appears intimidating in her relationships but is also known to be a firm but loving mother to Sigholdt Sofiasson and wife to Thrudirim. 

Sofia notably reacted negatively to Peregrine's assertions that he was a great protector for their group and also showed a distrust of Hermione of Vallea due to her [Vallean ethnicity.
