A human paladin and guard of the Waking who is the husband of Sofia and father of both Sigholdt and Eva. Not necessarily bright but hardy, optimistic and decidedly sheltered by his wife Sofia, allowing him to keep oaths of heroism without risking becoming broken by the brutal relaities of Kaechaek
