Astral Sea
The Astral Sea, or Astral Plane is the void between the planes that connects them all of them together. Many a metaphor can be used to describe the mysterious place, thought none of them completely encapsulate it.
It is the space between everything. It is the road that goes everywhere. It is where you are when you aren't anywhere else.While it is true that the Astral Plane is a physical space that surrounds and envelops the planes, it is also the physical manifestation of the Magical Weave. Being one of the least, if not the least, researched aspects in the entire universe its properties are not known well, but all creatures that reside in, or at least originate from it seem to have an acute perception of the Weave, such as the Tohorai Makutu, who can locate and consume magical residue from spells. It is assumed that Aberrations also come from it, creatures that have strange properties of wielding the weave as a weapon different than arcane or even divine magic as the Mind-Flayers , or even nullifying it as the Beholders do. In the very latest development in the field, Archmage Analyehnen Sol has requested significant resources from the Arcanic Order in order to research the powers of Mystics and their connection to the Astral Sea and the Wieve.— Archmage Torvelia
