Rosewater

Rosewater is the furthest north of all continents. It's not especially large, and most of it is covered in rough ice sheets. There aren't many people willing to live this far north, but it still has a very interesting ecosystem built off a microbial food supply hidden under the ice which blooms into a pinkish colour over the summer, giving the continent its name. Those that live on the continent are mostly involved in fishing and hunting game and monsters for food.

Geography

Rosewater is the furthest north of all the continents. A large portion of the land is covered in permafrost, with thick ice sheets that dramatically increase in size and density the further north you go. The land is very rough and jagged. There are not many high mountains, but the landscape resembles a very mountainous landscape. With the temperature being as low as it is, only the southern most parts are habitable for long periods of time, with the exception of the druidic tribe of Hamtry that protects the portal to the Elemental Plane of Air.

Fauna & Flora

There is not much plant-life that can survive in the harsh winters of these northern lands, though there are several animals that even here are able to survive. Some are creatures that thrive in the cold naturally, or create their own cold sanctuaries within caves in the mountains or rough ice sheets. This includes beasts like winter wolves, penguins, and seals, and monsters like giants, white dragons, and yeti. To sustain an ecosystem, there must be a balance or primary producers, which are often photosynthetic plants or microbes, followed by primary consumers, aka herbivours, and then carnivours that eat the herbivours until you reach the apex predator. In this case, though plants can't grow on the surface in the frigid temperatures, there are photosynthetic microbes that grow just below the ice, isolated and insulated by the icy covering, that fuels the whole ecosystem. Most of the animals and monsters that survive in these frozen wastes either consume these microscopic plants or consume creatures that do either directly or indirectly. These plants are especially interesting, because they are the source of the name for this landmass. Within the summer months, when the sun shines all day long and the temperature is slightly warmer, the plants explode into bloom under the ice. The ice changes from a white, to a light pink, due to the sheer density of plants buried beneath. These blooms don't last long, just like the summer season. By the time the sun sets for these northern reaches, the blooms are all but gone back into dormancy for another year.

Natural Resources

There is not many resources that can be used in the north, which is why there are so few people living far up. Most settlements are at the southern-most reaches, where there is still taiga forests able to grow. These forests provide wood, but little else. The soil is not especially rich for agriculture, so most food is gathered through fishing and hunting the local animals and monsters. Mining is possible, but not seen as very important to the local people due to the scarcity of the basic resources like food.

Rosewater
This is one of the continents. It's the furthest north of all the continents, and is dominated by ice and tundra. It has very extreme seasons, with half of the year dominated by night and bitter cold, and half the year dominated by perpetual day, with slightly less cold. Despite the cold, there are a few pioneering individuals that have settled in the warmer, southern-most areas of the landmass.
