Hallowed Union

The deities during the war of gods, known as the Sundering, that fought for non-selfish reasons, be it to protect mortals, the environment or simply freedom for all. This group of gods who protected values came to become known as the Hallowed Union, and formed the basis for the Assembly of Asteria, upon which Asterton was built as a bastion against evil and those that would harm the world and its many peoples.
The Hallowed: Bahamut, Pholtus, Pelor, Geth'asilon, Kord, Sune, Ocar, Kelemvor, Myra
Each of these gods generally has one high priest that can directly communicate with them, or a small number of high priests of different sects. The Holy Aster is the only mortal that is able to directly communicate with all of these gods, and is respected by most religions not intent on doing harm to the world.
There are a set of neutral gods that are seen as allies to The Hallowed, such as goddess of night Alluron, but did not join for many reasons. They are generally not faulted for it, such as Alluron's case, her brother Pelor requested she stand aside, and Pholtus has an extreme dislike of her ideals and personality despite not being enemies.
Enemies of the Hallowed: Erythnul, Cyric, Xaph'eidos, Tiamat
Enemies of the Hallowed are banned from worship in most nations. Typically, it is a crime to be worshipping these deities under penalty of execution.
The evil-aligned deities that did not join in the battle (the Corrupted Soul, the Lord in Silver, Vecna) have not been quite as reviled since the Sundering, and thus, have yet to become universally banned from worship in most nations.
