Bilbo Baggins

Bilbo Baggins was a HOBBIT, the most typical of Hobbits one might say. Until the day he got drug along on an adventure by Gandalf, the Grey. Gandalf gave him a good push to join Thorin Oakenshield, and his band of Dwarves on their quest to recapture Erebor.
Bilbo played a pivotal role in this adventure. He was the first to enter Erebor, and encounter Smaug, The Magnificent. Combined with his taking the Arkenstone led to Smaug's leaving the Mountain, and being killed.
Bilbo helped in the negotiations following The Battle of Five Armies where the division of the treasure of Erebor took place, and helping set the new peaceful course in Wilderland. Following this he retired, and returned with his own chests of treasure to his home at BAG END in the SHIRE.
