Deities are entities worshipped by the mortals of Morn. Deities can be divided into two levels; gods and demigods.
Creator Gods are actively worshipped in most societies on Morn. Some societies revere specific gods over others and depictions of the same god may vary wildly between different societies. Interloper Gods are generally taboo, with many societies outlawing their worship. Despite this, cults dedicated to the variouds Interloper Gods can be found across Morn.
The exception is Mortus, who is widely believed to be a dead god. While most of the warm-blooded races believe Mortus to be their primary creator, they are not actively worshipped in large numbers. The Draconic races also believe their interpretation of Mortus, Morduggan, to be dead, however do not consider them to have been a Creator God.
Worship of the gods is practise differently across the different societies. Many have temples dedicated to each of the gods, but some use one temple to worship all of them. Some societies build shrines rather than temples, and some build no structures dedicated to the gods at all. Some societies worship ritualistically while others practise their religions less formally.
Post-Collapse Changes
Before the Collapse, the gods were quite active in influencing the mortal world. Prayers were often answered, the gods often appeared, and many mortals were elevated to demigods. This was true of both Creator and Interloper Gods.
Since the Collapse, the gods are far less active on Morn. Prayers are only answered infrequently and it is rare for mortals to become demigods. With the Creator Gods constantly exerting pressure on the Lower Planes to keep the Interloper Gods trapped there, the Interloper Gods can no longer interfere easily in Morn. As for why the Creator Gods also no longer interfere often, it is thought that either a) the Creator Gods are using all of their energies on keeping the Interloper Gods in the Lower Planes or that b) the Creator Gods simply decided after the Collapse that Morn would be better off with less interference by them.
Gods
There are thirteen gods of Morn, one of which, Mortus, is dead. At the time of creation, Mortus invited six to participate in the creation of Morn. These gods are known as creator gods. The remaining six gods interfered with the process of creation, injecting attributes into Morn that were not desired by Mortus. These are known as interloper gods.

Demigods
Demigods are individuals born as mortals and granted divine powers by one of the gods. There have been numerous demigods throughout history, some of which are still alive today. In ancient times, the gods granted divine powers to mortals far more frequently than they have since The Collapse.
Demigods are granted varying levels of power. They are not immortal, although they can live far longer than others of their races.
