The Reaper

The Reaper, The End of All, is a demigod whose duty is to send the souls of the dead to the afterlife. The Reaper appears at all mortal deaths, but is invisible to most people. They wear a heavy grey cloak with a hood that obscures their appearance and carry a large greatsword. When swung, the greatsword severs the connection between the soul and the body at the moment of death.

The Death of Mortus[/h2 When Mortus died, mortals also began dying. The creator gods realised that the interloper gods were taking the souls of the dead for themselves, so they created The Reaper. It is said that The Reaper was created from the soul of the very first mortal to die after Mortus was killed.
The Reaper's duty is to be present at the moment of every mortal death on Morn and to ensure that the souls are sent to the correct afterlife. The Reaper is both the protector of the soul and its judge, determining which god should have ownership of the soul based on the actions of the person during their life.
