In response to the growing Posthuman trend calling itself Neo Terranism, nearly thirty years after that first corrupted publication of Evelyn's blueprints, those that disagreed with the ethical implications began to develop other technology in the lines of biological rather than artificial in an effort to solve the need for protection against their new hostile environments. Gene therapies and genetic manipulation, coupled sparingly with the nano technology that was the basis for Evelyn Byrn's technological wonders, begin the movement of an ‘ethical’ alternative: Transhumanism.
