First kingdom of Dercia
The first kingdom of Dercia, also known among scholars as the kingdom of Pearlhal as the kingdom had not yet expanded enough to have the prestige to claim the name of Dercia.
Not much is known from the early to the middle period of the first kingdom, over time since it fell it has been shrouded in a mist of mystery. Most forms of documents and knowledge from the time have been lost to both time and the numerous fires that have raged Pearlhal. The period where there is most knowledge has survived is from the last century of the kingdom, where it can be read that the kings of the time became increasingly mad and several kings ruled in the last century, many of them by scholars believed to have been assassinated due to the unnatural short reign.
The period where the mist of time is thickest is the early period of the kingdom, the only sources scholars have that might offer an explanation of the earliest times are some of the legends and myths that the Crienia tell each other from time to time.
Just like the successor state Dercian Republic that took over from the first kingdom when the senate and population rose in rebellion and killed the royal family and declared the Republic, the kingdom is today among the population known as the kingdom of Dercia due to the actions of the second Kingdom of Dercia when the second kingdom began the First unification war and took the name from the region is located in, region of Dercia. While most scholars believe it to be wrong to use this name for the first kingdom, they recognise the connection to the early history it creates.
