Session 21

The tension was palpable as the Party with Typhon, Bloodbane, Sir Didymus, and Vigwalin stared down the party of Jandar, Kraim, Holfast Oldbuck, and Noklul. After what felt like an eternity, Jandar gave the order to Kraim to go fetch the halfling Merimas Stumbletoe. Typhon took a crystal from his pocket and slapped it against his staff, creating a wall of ice that instantly killed Noklul and gravely wounded Jandar. Holfast dove against the wall, but didn't manage to fully escape the ice damage.   Jandar put his thumbs together and cast burning hands from the prone, hitting Vigwalin, Typhon and his own friend, Kraim. Meanwhile, the zombie attempted to attack Holfast, only to be deflected against the wall again and again. Kraim began swinging his axe at Typhon, slicing and gouging at his poorly armored body. Sir Didymus and his wolf managed to jump up onto the bar and finish off the elf wizard in a single blow. A combined assault from Typhon, Bloodbane, and Sir Didymus were needed to bring down the mighty Kraim. During the fighting, Merimas threw a chair through the nearest window and bolted out of it, running into the distance. Typhon sent his familiar, the owl Hootie, out after him as a pair of guards crashed through the front door of the Lush Toad Tavern and proceeded to take Holfast into custody. Sir Didymus, Bloodbane, and Vigwalin also soon jumped out the window to chase down Merimas, while Typhon cast invisibility and began to root through the fallen.   In addition to some money, Typhon managed to retrieve Jandar's spellbook, a Mysterious Ant Farm, some Animal figurines, and some Hallucinogenic Powder. Jandar rejoined the group and they followed Merimas out into the woods to his vessel, the airship named the Century Sparrow.   The Party managed to sneak on board and attempted to stow away in Merimas's cabin, but were soon found. After some "convincing" the airship captain agreed to turn the vessel around and head toward Vandrbjod - the home of Gorfius. Along the way, Bloodbane noticed that Merimas wore a pendant, similar to the larger one Bloodbane had, depicting the symbol of the Blackwater Naval Guild. Merimas told him that Kealsin Edal located in Eren Themar was the man he wanted to talk to if he was looking for answers.
