Holfast Oldbuck is a halfling ranger. He was part of an adventuring party that was massacred by Typhon, Bloodbane, Sir Didymus, and Vigwalin while they were trying to collect on a bounty for an employer.

Holfast has worked oddjobs as a sellsword for the past 22 years after he became a ranger. These jobs have included bounty hunting, which tends to be the most profitable, dungeon delving, and extermination. He has had little regard for the reputation of his employers, other than whether or not they can pay.

Holfast watched as his brothers-in-arms were slaughtered by another party while they were on a simple retrieval job in the middle of Silverward.
