Nkare, the Arcane Mistress represents Magic and indulgence, teaching her followers academica, wizardry and philosophy. She is portayed in luxurious clothing and clearly wealthy. What use is all this power, if not to make your own life easier or at least more bearable?


Nkare, the Arcane Mistress is the Matron Deity of the Shona. As with all new Gods, she is not exclusive to those ancestries, but was birthed out of necessity by them. She grew in power,due to the many desperate prayers during the Convergence, as the marvellous and magical Shona Havens (such as Nkonkoni) had to openly withstand the onslaught of Horrors. Nkare's Ideals helped her followers to stay vigilant, continuously working on their magical abilities to reinforce their magical walls to keep out the horrors. However, with much power often comes complacency, and while the magical walls held, her people grew indulgent. Their magical abilities able to care for their everyday needs, they basked in their apparent wealth to escape from their daylie struggles to keep the ever looming horrors out. Today, Nkare is worshipped across shona people and anyone seeking refuge or protection in her magical prowess.
