Llauvo

The Rain Father. The Grey Squid. The Great Architect.

Llauvo was formed from the blood of Chicue in the Second Age, along with his sister-wife Cielida. He's believed to be the most dispassionate and careful of the gods, committed to upholding tradition and law.

 

Divine Domains

In his aspect as Rain Father, he is rules over bodies of saltwater, such as seas and deltas, as well as of fresh water like rivers and lakes. He's the source of rain, and he jointly rules weather with Cielida. In his aspect as the Great Architect, he is rules over organization, planning, and governance, ritual, authority, and hierarchy. He is As the Father of greed, trade, and wealth.   Patron of accountants, administrators, aristocrats, bath attendants, councillors, diplomats, fathers, fishers, guards, launderers, merchants, messengers, negotiators, officers, orators, sailors, servants, and translators.

Llauvo is commonly depicted as a grey squid floating in an endless sea, holding different tools and creatures in each tentacle. When depicted as a person, he wears fine robes and a crown of coral with water dripping down his long grey hair.

Those who seek to commune with Llauvo can seek his portents through the pattern of raindrops falling, in the shape of waves forming a pattern on the beach, or in the wisdom and instructions of his high priests.
