Mamapala
The Corn Woman. The Green Spider. The Plague Queen.
Mamapala is the eldest child of Cielida and Llauvo. Born in the Third Age, she created invented domestication and the living creatures that don't fall under her brother Borcho's purview.
Divine Domains
In her aspect as the Corn Woman, Mamapala rules over soil, minerals, growth, plants, fungi, alcohol and domestication. As the Green Spider, she is the ruler of death and decay as processes, although not of the spirits of the dead. As the Plague woman, she rules over both disease and medicine. She is the patron of apothecaries, brewers, bakers, corpse takers, farmers, loggers, gardeners, healers, hosts, harvesters, herbalists, jewelers, miners, poisoners, potters, sculptors, smiths, weavers, and woodworkers.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
Mamapala is usually depicted as a bright green spider on a ripe corn stalk. When depicted as a woman, she is a young woman wearing colorfully embroidered cloths of yellow, white, green, and red with bare feet, harvesting a crop, usually corn.
