Originally, Saelyr started his life humbly: he was an illegitimate son of his mother and Stablehand. Luckily, his maternal grandfather, the previous duke, took him in and send him to learn Bladesinging.

Saelyr was born 3659 to a stablehand and daughter of duke of Encikilrum. As duke had no legitimate heirs, he legitimized Saeryl.
Saeryl was sent to learn Bladesinging in 3749. He joined the cavalry and finished his courses 3831.
After War of Scale and Arrow Encikilrum was lost for enemies - title became void and Saelyr ended up homeless with his family. He was luckily taken in by Arranan Thearluth, whom took him to his court and titled him Baron of Y'nlond.
