Ashara Valyr is a woman who has seen much of the world with different perspectives based on the person she was at the time. A tool for her original family, A free spirited Mercenary, A wife and mother, and the Lady of the Valyr family. Experience begets wisdom and after seeing the world from various perspectives, Ashara has grown wise beyond her years, her Westerosi cultural heritage giving her a unique perspective in Volantene politics. Through her beloved husband Maelon, Ashara has mastered the art of rule with the Hidden ancient family's vast network of influence and resources. Those Same resources and her Husband's nature as someone who always thirsts for more knowledge caused her to in turn gain some of Maelon's perfectionist nature, demanding the best from herself and those around her and sparing no effort to ensure that is the case. It was Ashara's insistence that led the Valyr to expanding the investment into the almost skeleton crew Mice that had been neglected for some time. Over time as she aided her Husband's rule over the Valyr and strictly raised her children, she found a growing ambition sprouting from within, perhaps inherited from her own blood. If it weren't for the Valyr family's philosophy of keeping true power hidden, perhaps she would have sought a Triarch's seat herself. The death of her husband and many of the family's people as well as their resources was a true tragedy. Yet every tragedy has a silver lining. The weakened Valyr family now rallied around her and closely followed her lead in a new and chaotic world that their traditional values may no longer be suited for. A unique opportunity had reared it's head in the wake of disaster. An opportunity to feed the ambition that lay dormant within and more importantly, make the death of her beloved have greater meaning. A broken city, A demoralized Senate and an uncertain military could mark the foundation of a new order. A new kingdom. A New Volantis.
